International Schools and Kindergartens in Kyiv: A Guide for Relocating Families

And you are right – you need to create all possible conditions to ensure your child’s comfortable transfer to a new class. However, you should note one thing: almost all fo the international institutions in Kyiv are located outside of the city center. The exceptions are Pechersk School International, Lycee Francais Anne De Kyiv and International Lyceum Grand. No surprise – to build the well-structured, spacious campus and provide an opportunity to participate in extra classes like horseback or swimming, you need quite a lot of space, the central districts don’t have. 1. Kyiv International School

(3A Svyatoshynsky Provulok, Sviatoshyn metro st.)

Preschool through secondary school, with Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Diploma programmes. Main languages are English, but Ukrainian, Russian, French, Spanish and German are also available. Children receive three meals a day and bus transportation. It is possible to attend art of public speaking, sing in the choir, or participate in swimming, basketball, football, and tennis.

2. Pechersk School International

(Pechersk, central Kyiv)

Students aged 3 to 18. Main languages are English, but Ukrainian, Russian, French, Spanish and German are also available. The only school in Ukraine authorised to offer all three International Baccalaureate programmes: Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma. Specific attention is paid to art and sports. Children are also transported by bus and get a 3-times meal.

3. British International School

A British-curriculum school where pupils can take IGCSE and A Level qualifications.

4. Deutsche Schule Kyiv

(Novomostytska St.)

A German-language school supported by Germany's Federal Foreign Office. As of 2025 it had around 65 pupils up to grade 12, who prepare for the German Sekundarstufe I certificates, the Deutsches Internationales Abitur and the DSD I language diploma.

5. Lycee Francais Anne De Kyiv

A French school that follows the programmes of the French Ministry of National Education, from nursery to the final year of lycée, and part of the AEFE network.

6. Meridian International School

(Minska, Obolon metro)

This school offers classes for kindergarten as well as for grades 1-11. Classes like mathematics, biology, physics and chemistry are taken in English. Pupils can study Turkish in school. Extra classes include music, drawing, chess, gymnastics and even cooking classes. Pupils are taken to school by bus.

7. International Lyceum Grand

In this school, you can choose English, Russian or Ukraininan program and study German or French additionally. Business study and computer science are considered to be strong ones. Among extra classes, there are different sports including horseback and chess. Meals three times per day and bus transportation to school are provided.
